A Rapid Development Framework for Microsoft Access

Jon: Fix is either in the on open or on click events

Jon: The issue occurs for me only when hovering over the button.

See attached database for the simple workaround solution for this issue. I do think this is a bug in Access but at least there is a workaround for it.

This sure looks like a bug to me. And after further testing, it appears to only happen when a styled button with a shadow is placed on a solid rectangle and then on top of a tab control. It’s the tab control that is somehow forcing the shadow to render on the tab controls level (lowest level). So at least for now, this appears to be a limitation when using the shadow effect on command buttons.

I have a very simple form with some buttons on it that have the shadow effect. There is a horrible unwanted white color that surrounds the buttons after the form loads the first time. If I then go to design view and back to form view, everything looks fine. It looks like an Access M365 bug to me but wondering if anyone could check this out for me.

I have attached a simple form demonstrating the problem and here is a screenshot. Notice the rounded button on the top with no shadow still shows a little white in each corner of the button.
