Today was one of those days where my schedule decided to play a game of “let’s see how many curveballs we can throw.” First up, tackling my monthly bills took way longer than expected. Navigating new payment systems felt like trying to decode ancient hieroglyphics, but hey, at least I had some extra money from my tax refund to make it a bit more fun!
Then, exhaustion hit me like a ton of bricks, so I took a nap that felt like a mini-vacation. I also saw an opportunity to help my family members, and of course, I couldn’t resist playing the hero for a bit.
By the end of the day, I managed to get back on track and tick off two things on my to-do list: a cardio workout on the exercise bike (hello, fitness goals!) and writing my daily article (hello, productivity!).
It’s easy to feel stressed about not getting everything done, but I’m working on it. I often feel like I’m always behind, trying to catch up, but never quite getting there. Maybe it’s a sign that I’m not great at saying “no” to things. I’m better than I used to be, but I still seem to live a life of spinning too many plates. As soon as one plate is removed, I find another to take its place.
Any books or podcasts you recommend for someone like me? I’m sure as I pray about it, God will also bring me to a place of peace, and who knows, maybe He’s using you to help me get there!
